SPORTA 2 quarter launches its spring events season

In May, the SPORTA 2 quarter will launch its new events season, offering a diverse programme of cultural, entertainment and professional networking events throughout the month. The SPORTA 2 quarter’s restaurants, bars, cultural venues and creative spaces will bring together a wide range of audiences through a joint programme featuring theatre performances, concerts, art exhibitions, DJ nights and culinary events.

One of the season’s key events will be the marketing and communications festival “Marketing Shake 2026”, which will bring together industry professionals from Latvia and several other European countries on 21 May.
The quarter’s residents will also offer an extensive cultural programme. The “OratoriO” will host several theatre performances and concert programmes, including “Precēto sieviešu (grēk)sūdzes” and “Bezgalība. Mīlestība. Māte.”

Meanwhile, exhibitions by Ilja Krūmiņš and Kaspars Groševs will open at the “Kim?” Contemporary Art Centre. The music programme will also feature a concert by the band “Athodi”, a solo concert by Rihards Saule and several DJ nights.

The quarter’s restaurants and bars will invite visitors not only to enjoy delicious food and drinks, but also to take part in the “Melomaniaki” music quiz at “Zefīrs” and bingo nights at “Project Chicken”. Visitors will also be able to attend evenings dedicated to Georgian culture and cuisine at “OBJEKTS X BOAR BBQ”, along with a variety of other themed events.

The diverse programme in May will mark the beginning of an active spring and summer season at the SPORTA 2 quarter, creating an environment where culture, the creative industries, professional exchange, gastronomy and everyday urban life come together in the heart of Riga.
